The   Rules   of   Life
Each  new  day  is  a  blank  page  in  the  diary  of  our  life.
The secret of success is in turning that diary into the best story we possibly can.

Every sunrise is a new chapter in your life waiting to be written.

  1. ACCEPT   YOURSELF
When you know yourself, you are empowered.  When you accept yourself, you are invincible.  If you can't accept something, you need to change it.  If you can't change it, you need to accept it.  We are only haunted by the things we refuse to accept.
Be yourself, but always be your best self.

  2. ATTITUDE
Attitude is a little thing that makes a big difference.  A bad attitude is like a flat tire.  You can't go anywhere until you change it.  Don't start your day with the broken pieces of yesterday.  Make peace with your broken pieces.  Start each day with a grateful heart.  Don't ruin a new day by thinking about yesterday.  Develop and maintain a positive attitude.  Be strong when you are weak, brave when you are scared, and humble when you are victorious.

  3. AVOID  NEGATIVITY
Your body hears everything your mind says.  Never go to a doctor whose office plants have died.  Negative feelings come from negative thoughts.  A negative mind will never give you a positive life; you can't live a positive life with a negative mind.  A positive mind always finds a reason to shine.  The optimist sees the rose and not its thorns; the pessimist stares at the thorns, oblivious to the rose.  Avoid negative thoughts, situations, and people.  Dirty water doesn't stop plants from growing, so don't let negative words stop your progress.  Live life to the fullest and focus on the positive.  If you are positive, you'll see opportunities instead of obstacles.

  4. BE  GRATEFUL
Gratitude turns what we have into enough.  Be thankful for what we have; we’ll end up having more.  It is not joy that makes us grateful.  It is gratitude that makes us joyful.  Be grateful for all the things that make your life bright, beautiful, and peaceful.

  5. BE  HAPPY
There is no beauty without happiness.  Allow yourself to enjoy each happy moment in your life.  When you love what you have, you have everything you need.  Happy people focus on what they have.  Unhappy people focus on what's missing.  One of the keys to happiness is minding your own business.  The same boiling water that softens the potato hardens the egg.

  6. BE  HONEST
Honesty is the first chapter in the book of wisdom.  Rather fail with honor than succeed with fraud.  Never lie, never cheat, and never steal.  Being honest may not make you many friends, but it will always make you the right friend.  The wrong people will leave the party but the right ones will join the dance.  Trust takes years to build, seconds to break, and forever to repair.  Your body will not absorb cholesterol if you take it from another person's plate.

  7. BE  KIND
Kindness is a reflection of your soul; it doesn't cost a thing, yet it's the richest gift you can give.  You have the power to make people feel good.  Be kind to unkind people.  May every kind thing you do be out of love, not for love.  Be kind to everyone, not just mankind.  Being a good person is a little like expecting the bull not to attack you because you are a vegetarian.

  8. BE  HUMBLE
Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit.  Pride makes us artificial, and humility makes us real.  Act like you can't afford the bread until they find out you own the bakery.  Have more than you show, speak less than you know.

  9. BE  RESPECTFUL
Respect for ourselves guides our morals; respect for others guides our manners.  Disrespect will close doors that apologies can't reopen.  Treat everyone with politeness and kindness, not because they are nice, but because you are.  Respect yourself enough to deny access to anyone who doesn't.  You can demand courtesy, but you have to earn respect.  Discipline yourself to do what you know is right and important.  Never take a person's dignity for granted; it is worth everything to them and nothing to you.  Don't judge by appearances.  A rich heart may be under a poor coat.  Treat everyone with respect.  Take your heart on a peaceful journey.

  10. BE  RESPONSIBLE
Flies don't think they are poisonous.  Rats never think that what they eat is stolen.  Dealing with reality or reality will deal with you.   Prioritize yourself and take full responsibility for your actions.  Accept the consequences of your actions: apologize, ask for help, clean up your own mess, and think of others before you act.

  11. RECOGNIZE  YOUR  MISTAKE
Everyone deserves a second chance, but not for the same mistake.  Mistakes that gave you wisdom, and suffering that gave you strength.  Sometimes you have to eat your words, chew your ego, swallow your pride, and accept your mistakes.  Get out of your head and back on your feet.  The first to apologize is the bravest.  The first to forgive is the strongest.  The first to forget is the happiest.  No one is perfect.  That's why pencils have erasers.

  12. BE  SMART
Intelligence without ambition is a bird without wings.  Born to stand out, not just to fit in. Don't wait for the perfect moment; take the moment and make it perfect.  Great decisions are made by ordinary people with extraordinary determination.

  13. BE  STRONG
Every new day is a new chance to shine.  A new chance to reach the sky.  If you want to fly, give up everything that weighs you down.  Ships don't sink because of the water around them; they sink because of the water that gets in them.  Don't let what's happening around you get inside you and weigh you down.  Never let your fear decide your fate.  A bird sitting on a tree is never afraid of the branch breaking because her trust is not in the branch but in her own wings.  If you don't spread your wings, you will not discover how far you can fly.  Don't be afraid of being outnumbered.  Eagles fly alone.  Pigeons flock together.  If you hang out with chickens, you're going to cluck.  You can't soar like an eagle when you surround yourself with turkeys.

  14. BITE  YOUR  TONGUE
Your mean words can scare a person for life.  They can only be forgiven, not forgotten.  If you can’t say anything nice, don’t say anything at all.  If you can't be kind, be quiet.  People may hear your words, but they feel your attitude.  The tongue has no bones but is strong enough to break a heart.

  15. COURAGE  TO  CHANGE
Life has no remote; get up and change it yourself.  Old keys don't unlock new doors.  Bad habits are like a comfortable bed—easy to get into but hard to get out of.  Comfort and change do not dwell together.  If you want something new, you have to stop doing something old.  The trees sway in the wind, learn to adapt and bend in the face of change.  Change is painful.  But nothing is as painful as staying stuck somewhere you don't belong.  Life does not get better by chance.  It gets better with changeIf you do not step forward, you will always be in the same place.  Don't use the broken pieces to rebuild the old picture; instead, create a new one.  Don't carry your mistakes around with you.  Instead, place them under your feet and use them as stepping stones to rise above them.

  16. DON'T  COMPARE
Compare yourself to who you were yesterday, not to who someone else is today.  A seed can't grow if it's constantly jumping from garden to garden.  A flower does not think of competing with the flower next to it.  It just blooms.  When a flower doesn't bloom, you fix the environment in which it grows, not the flower.  If the grass is greener on the other side, it's probably getting better care.  Water your own grass.  Don't grow green grass by focusing on a neighbor's garden; do it by nurturing your own.  Instead of wasting time comparing your path to someone else's.  The grass is green where you water it.

  17. DON'T  GIVE  UP
The past is a stepping stone, not a milestone.  No matter how you feel, get up, dress up, show up, and never give up.  If opportunity doesn't knock, build a door.  If it doesn't work the first time, find another way.  If you can't find a way, make one.  You learn more from failure than from success; don't let it stop you.  Life is difficult for everyone; everyone has bad days.  You will never reach your destination if you stop and throw stones at every dog that barks !  Keep your head up, never give up, and keep moving forward until you reach your destination.  If you get tired, learn to rest, not to quit.  If you don't fight for what you want, then don't cry for what you lost.  Challenges are inevitable, defeat is optional.

  18. HALT
    Hungry - Angry - Lonely - Tired
Take time off.  The world will not fall apart without you.  Be enough for yourself first.  The rest of the world can wait.  Take your time.  But don't waste your time.  Take the break before the break takes you.

  19. DISCO
Dominance, Influence, Steadiness, Conscientiousness, Obligation.  Behavior is the mirror in which everyone shows their image.  A professional is a label you give yourself.  A leader is one who knows the way, goes the way, and shows the way.

  20. N A T O
No  Action  Talk  Only.  Well done is better than well said.  Talk is cheap; actions are priceless.  Don't be a parrot; be an eagle.  A parrot talks way too much and can't fly high, but an eagle is silent and has the willpower to touch the sky.

  21. PEACE  WITH  THE   PAST
The mind replays what the heart can't delete.  Don't let yesterday take up too much of today.  Cherish the past, but don't live in it.  Make peace with your past so it won't spoil the present.  If you don't let the past die, then it won't let you live.  When the past calls, let it go to voicemail.  Don't let the poison of the past spoil a fruitful future.  Focus on being present and creating a better future.  Rivers never go backward.  So try to live like a river.

  22. PREPARING  YOURSELF  FOR  TOMORROW
Today's accomplishments were yesterday's impossibilities; our limitations for tomorrow will be our doubts today.  The best preparation for tomorrow is to do your best today.  Yesterday's home runs don't win today's game.  Change the game; don't let the game change you.  If you don't like the road you're walking on, start paving another one.  Expecting things to change without putting in any effort is like waiting for a ship at the airport.

  23. GROWTH  MINDSET
A small leak could sink a great ship.  A lack of vision continued to use its outdated Symbian operating system for its smartphones, which contributed to Nokia's downfall.  The tragic tale of Kodak's downfall was failure to embrace digital technology.  At age 65, Colonel Harland Sanders began franchising his chicken business using his $105 monthly Social Security check.  Jack Ma, who couldn't get a job at KFC, founded Alibaba and retired at the age of 55.  Age is merely a number.  Edison failed 1,000 times before he invented the light bulb.  Don't be afraid to fail; keep working hard.  Invest your time wisely.

  24. SMILE
Your smile is your logo, your personality is your business card, and the way you make others feel is your trademarkA smile is an inexpensive way to improve your looks.  Make your smile cheaper and your anger more expensive.  The most beautiful smile belongs to those who make others smile.  Keep your head high, keep your chin up, and most importantly, keep smiling, because life's a beautiful thing and there's so much to smile about.

  25. STAY  HEALTHY
The best health care plan is a self-care plan.  Eat your food as your medicine; otherwise, you have to eat your medicine as your food.  Remember to take care of yourself; you can't pour from an empty cup.  Take care of your body, it's the only place you have to live.

  26. TOUCH  BASE
Base is where you feel comfortable, secure, loved, restored, and trusted.  Knowing others is intelligence; knowing yourself is true wisdom.  Mastering others is strength; mastering yourself is true power.  Knowledge will give you power, but good character will give you respect.  The shape of your character is the shape of your future.

  27. CHARACTER
Character develops itself in the stream of life.  Character is like a tree, and reputation is like a shadow.  Your character is shaped by your choices, and your life is a result of the choices you make.  Your character is who you are.  Your reputation is who people think you are.  Take care of your thoughts when you are alone, and take care of your words when you are with people.

  28. HAVING  INTEGRITY
Honesty is saying what you mean, integrity is meaning what you say.  If it is not right do not do it; if it is not true do not say it.  Don't ever promise more than you can deliver, but always deliver more than you promise.  Make living your life with absolute integrity and kindness your first priority.

  29. SELF-DISCIPLINE
Three golden rules:  Who is helping you.  Don't forget them.  Who is loving you.  Don't hate them.  Who is believing in you.  Don't cheat them.
Two final rules:  Number  1, Never Quit.   Number  2, always remember  rule number  1.   Not a second choice, the first option.

  30. DEDICATION  AND  COMMITMENT
The Platinum Rule is " Treat everyone as they want to be treated ".
The Golden Rule says:  “ If you wouldn't like it done to you, don't do it to others ".
The Bronze Rule states:  " If they are not bothering you, don't bother them ".
The goal of the medal award is to come together in a way that avoids conflict.

A person with integrity behaves ethically.  Every great achiever is inspired by a great mentor.  Don't explain the philosophy; embody it.  Rules can be changed, ideas can improve, philosophy could be updated, and theory could be overthrown.
